He served as an honorary Homoeopathic physician in the government hospital for few years. He also worked as the honorary Homoeopathic physician in the Mumba Devi Homoeopathic Hospital. He authored various books on Homeopathy and had a successful practice in Mumbai.
He also set up the Predictive School of Homeopathy for teaching and perfecting his style of practicing Homeopathy.

Late Dr. Prafull Vijayakar was a popular homeopath and gifted prescriber; his reputation as a scholar and lecturer was impeccable. His patients will miss his gentle and reassuring healing touch.
It was through his dedication and untiring efforts that the Indian Institute of Homeopathic Physicians was developed. Dr. Vijayakar with his powerful presence and practicing skills had won many laurels in all his seminar lectures. Dr. Vijayakar had been practicing Homoeopathy for around 40 years.

Dr. Prafull Vijayakar founded Predictive Homoeopathy in 1991-92. The clinics are based on this thought that “Treat the man in the disease, not the disease in the man. He had discovered that to cure a disease, you need to understand the person. He had understood that all diseases that disappeared were not cured, so he founded the practice to cure the diseases in their complete sense.
Predictive Homoeopathy assumes that after prescribing the right homeopathic remedy, the process of the cure can be predicted exactly. A new method is a form of homeopathy that combines homeopathy with modern medical research. It was an attempt to link homeopathy and medical research in a new way of treating patients with modern Homeopathy.
