See a doctor if the fever lasts more than three days, comes back, or is accompanied by severe headache, a stiff neck, a rash, bleeding, persistent vomiting, severe weakness, breathlessness or drowsiness, as dengue, malaria or typhoid may need testing. A baby under three months with any fever needs urgent assessment. Do not give aspirin to children.
