A long first consultation, for both partners
The first fertility consultation is unhurried. We go through the menstrual history, all previous reports for both partners, hormone and semen results, and whatever has already been tried. Where a male factor is present, sperm count, motility and morphology are reviewed alongside the general case and re-checked as treatment goes on.
Prescribed for your case, not for the label
Two women with the same diagnosis of PCOS are often prescribed quite differently. The case decides the remedy, which is why your history matters more than the name written on the report.

What is infertility?

What are common causes of male infertility?

What does low AMH mean?
AMH (anti-Müllerian hormone) is used as a marker of ovarian reserve — broadly, how many eggs remain. A low result says something about numbers rather than about the quality of any one egg, and it is only one part of a fertility picture. How low is too low an AMH?
What does a semen analysis assess?
Chiefly the number of sperm (count), how well they move (motility) and how they are formed (morphology), along with volume and a few other measures. Because sperm production varies from week to week, an abnormal result is normally repeated before conclusions are drawn.
